The Steel City Rifters
Who are we?
Well to answer that question in the most honest manner we are a group of RPG players from the Western Pennsylvania region. We are all fans of the Palladium Games and Books series. We have an understanding of the game from what the game is meant to be which is to have a great time playing and have fun. We try to make the game fun for all involved on an individual level as well. We are a tight inner core group who maintain a strict code of ethics involving the game and how we act during play. We allow for RP, and we encourage it highly for all involved. We all have moments where we go off on tangents not related to the current game, and also understand everyone does have things they want to share with the group.

We are also a support or booster group for Palladium games. We are here to introduce Palladium to a new generation. There is a whole group of Role-playing players who have never heard of Palladium games or think they no longer publish anything. We are an example of what the game can create, a functional group of players from different distances willing to go to a location to game together. We are all mainly near Pittsburgh PA but are willing to travel to nearby game and comic shops to promote our favorite Palladium Games.

We are also a group who is looking to enlarge its current membership with people who enjoy playing palladium games and enjoy working within a group mentality. We always consider alignment when playing but all our members agree on some basic foundations we have set. 1. The game is meant to be fun for everyone. 2. We keep in game Beef in game! We firstly try not even to let players get to this position. We tend to talk things out way before this would ever happen.

I mentioned above we have a code of ethics. This code involves being respectful of others and considering a simple concept. In gaming sometimes as a group, you need to work together to accomplish goals and for basic survival needs. The game is about the group; we include everyone.

We are starting our new season with a Rifts game involving superheroes from Heroes Unlimited. We will be playing a Heroes Unlimited game down the road however until then we will find some enjoyment in driving the Coalition Crazy for some time.

We honestly believe the games Palladium Books create can be a very fun and enjoyable experience for those who know firstly how the game works and secondly how the world of Rifts and the Realms connected to it work. Most importantly we believe one concept involving the game more than any other, the game was created to be fun.

As we detail, some of our adventures on here we hope to either discover other like minded Palladium players from our area to include into our group Or we hope to gain the interest of Role Playing Gamers that may not be familiar to these games and introduce them to a whole new world of adventure.

Over the next few days I will be posting more information about us as a group, I will be posting a couple of introductions for members of our group and I will be posting more about the games we run and love.
